I am a semi-retired medical secretary and work for a MLB team physician. I love to make jointed teddy bears, collect dolls, read, take lots of pictures, we used to travel a lot, and I have always loved Yorkies. I love classic B&W movies, audio books, reading the Texas Administrative Code and Federal Register regarding medical codes and drool over Hot Fudge Sundaes. Recently just got back into my skinniest jeans. I do color my hair blonde and love expensive perfume...............oh, wrong thread. Sorry. OP - what was it you asked about? You accidentally bred your 2 lb. female Yorkie to a wolf, have no vet and need advice? Oh, wrong thread. Wait, where are my glasses and truck keys..........................and oh, I just accepted the "Friend Request" you sent. |

Wow. Well, like chattiesmom, I too am southern born and bred, spoon fed manners and deportment from the cradle. That said, I've worked in the hospitality/lodging industry for the past five years and have learned how to deal with people from Luxembourg to New Zealand and everywhere in between. If you want blunt, I can do blunt. I've owned yorkies for over 20 years. Questions 1 & 2 Buy a crate. Use the crate. Question 3. You don't own Lassie, you own a 10 week old baby with the attention span of a fruit fly. If you can brush her for 5 seconds consider it a success, praise her and shoot for 10 seconds next time. |

It's the Yorkie section on Dogs 101. You probably already have that on your DVR. |
Nope....didn't work! What is the exact name of the video and who posted it? I can search on YouTube. Geez...maybe you all need 20 years experience posting videos! :p (not really...I think it is an iPad issue!) |

Bonjour! Sending love from San Francisco. |
je suis rachel. jem appel rachel. i was never good at French. good thing i chose to learn spanish instead. they taught me how to drink like a fish. and play lots of poker. and speak really fast. and type really fast. and think really fast. and my yorkie runs really fast. and the other day i lost my glasses...they were filled with wine. wining doesn't sound very good and gets annoying fast. annoying people make me want to drink wine...now where they hell are my glasses of wine? |
Thanks... & Bye bye!! Hi there, Thank you everyone that welcomed me. And most important thank you for those who PMed me, I am writing a prompt reply for those also. I am very happy some of you sent me some advices. My own experience (my dad is a dog breeder for over 30 years and he is nearly 80 years old now) wasn't very useful or even helpful. He is "old school", and I am against his more noisy methods. Unfortunately however now I must depart. My account will be removed soon, but I will have you know I thank dearly every one of you that sent me an useful reply. And, as for manners... believe me, I do have them. Making USE of them, however, is something of my choice. "Manners" have many 'concepts'. I have lived in USA for many years, and in one of the cities I resided (Phoenix), the biggest mistake you can commit is to open a door and be friendly to a neighbor who rings your bell with a cake. The next time you open the door, they will enter uninvited, open your fridge, cook something, sleep in your bed, use your shower, borrow without asking your lawn mower and act like they are your best friend. But, should you need them, they will quickly invent a trip to Nepal or somewhere further in the next 2 hours. That's not what I call manners, or friendliness. But since I also lived in San Francisco and people there were extremely polite, gentle and totally unobtrusive, I will not blame it on "cultural differences", I will say that upbringing and choices are what makes a difference. I am not 12 years old. I have been using forums for many years (so I do know of PMs, I read the TOS of everything and I am all but an idiot), until I got FED UP on how we ask a question and have as answers everything BUT helpful stuff, including gratuitous rudeness. So, I put my very unfriendly disclaimer on my first line, knowing only those true helpful and serious people will look past that and actually help out. After all, "if someone can't take my worst, they don't deserve my best". Most people show their best before showing their worse; well, I just work the other way around, and thanks to this, I ensure I will, indeed, not collect more 'fair-weather friends'. And deep inside, I am fun, cheerful, friendly, I stick through thick or thin and buy 'fights' that are not mine, for a friend. So, after this thick shell goes past, I have plenty of online and offline friends, whom I love very much and which I am truly grateful for. Again, I thank you all who answered my thread... I wish all of you the very very best in life, and much love and long happy life to your Yorkies!!! Merci/Grazzie/Thanks again, Giulli |

To the OP: You're a "Conehead", right? (that would explain so much about you) Once I found my glasses, I remembered, Coneheads are from France! Greetings from Earth!:D |
