Pooping in house My 1 year old female yorkie has all of a sudden starting pooping in the house. She has been housebroken for months and has never had any accidents. The past two days she has pooped in the same spot in the living room. Any suggestions or ideas? |
Cesar took forever to housebreak (Compared to past dogs who trained themselves by 10 weeks), about 7-8 months old. The last couple months he has started to go into the basement to poop. He won't pee and he doesn't poop anywhere else but the basement. I am kind of stumped as to what to do about this myself. I went downstairs the other day and he followed me down and I said "Cesar!" He looked at me and I just pointed to the poop and said "What's this?" He darted up the stairs like a bullet on speed. They say dogs don't know what they did after it happens, but I swear he knew it was his and he knew it was bad. |
Most dogs seem to poop in the same spot. I would put down a pee pad and work from there. |
I have recently had this same issue. Baxter has been good for weeks, and we have not had to put him in his kennel. Yesterday he peed in front of my washer. Today he peed in front of the washer and pooped in front of his kennel! UGH! So, I guess we have to have a few days in the kennel while we are at work to refresh his memory. Little poop head. He's lucky he's cute. |
I would recommend cleaning up the carpet/floor using a pet cleaner. Then i will try using pee pee pads to train her. Remember patience is the key with these little ones. |
