bell training
 
HELP! I am sorta new here, and a first time yorkie mommy. My Khloe is almost 4 months old, and she is not potty trained, well, to tell you this, she LOVES POTTYING in her cage. So my question is how do I start bell training her to go outside?
I think this would be a great help for the both of us.

I bell trained Piper.

Every time I took her outside I rang the bell with her paw and said lets go potty (or something along those lines).

It did no good for a few weeks, but I kept at it, and then all of a sudden she did it and I made sure to praise a ton.

Now she does it when she needs to go potty.

Just agreeing here, we bell trained past dogs using this method. Whenever I was taking the dog out I would ring it and say potty. Also they recommend using the same door to take pup in and out of your home when you are taking him/her potty. It worked so well for us the cat now uses it when he wants to go on the porch and look at the birds.

Haha, Piper does the same thing, she uses the bell when she wants to just go outside and play.

I'm learned what is really a potty bell and what is a I want to play outside bell (normally if she really needs to go she body slams the bell)
