On weekends, up at 6:30am for potty & breakfast, then sleeps again in till 10am!!!!! FRUSTRATIONS!!!!! -He wakes up ay 5am DAILY no matter how much we tire him out and how late we go to bed!!! But, he goes back to sleep after about 15 min of chewing & playing!!! Then up again at 6:30 to get ready for work with me. -He is always in big brother Snickers's face!!!! LOL -This boy has lung capacity...when he barks--you know!!! THAT's ALL....THANK GOODNESS I love him soooooooooooo much!!!!! TeeHee- Vivian |
Your post is cute! I remember those days but they are a long way away for me since mine are 6 yrs old. I have 3, 4 month old kittens though and they are constantly getting into something or tearing through the house so Im used to the babies and their ways also |
Joys- both of my babies laying with me watching TV both of my babies sleeping with me in bed at night the way they play and already seem to love each other watching to see which 'bunny' can jump higher.....(My dogs think they are rabbits I swear) the way Jett learns things from his older sister Bella the way they both snuggle up to me if they are scared or worried the way they both bark if something scares them, Jetts bark is just so little and cute! when I do manage to take them both out into public, the comments from others on how cute and adorable my babies are!!!!!! **there are sooooooo many I could write 4 or 5 pages LOL** Frustrations Bella loves to sit on her baby brother, causing him to squeak his disapproval, am always worried that she might hurt him. She is 4.2 pounds and he is 1.8 pounds. He holds his own though. :) Worried that any child that comes over to the house might, accidentally hurt one of the babies!!!! (Trying to hide the babies from the children is no fun either.) Hates the fact that on my own I right now can only take one baby with me at a time. So most often I leave them both home, so they can have company. Jett is the same color and size as my slippers, have almost stepped on him not seeing him, and my slippers are his favorite place to lay. :) |
Reesie found his voice early, lol. :p |

Joys When she stands on my chest and we have the "I can out stare you" contest....too cute. ALL of her sweet little kisses. That I am her favorite person. How she velcros herself to me when I am sitting in my recliner. Her funny big dog attitude. She always eats out of her big sisters food bowl and saves hers for later. How she insist that I give her attention on her time clock....lol. How she stretches and looks so content when I give her her nightly massage. The little 'oinky' noises she makes when she is content and just 'verbalizing'. Lol Frustrations Bringing in presents from outside to mommy. She will bring in mulch, sticks, beetles...basically anything she can find to gift me with. During this snow storm she brought me a huge icicle. Lol Jasmine is 2 yrs old, but she will always be my little puppy. |
Lolllll bringing presents from outside to Mommy is hilarious!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!! Viv |
I have a 20 week old baby boy Harley :D JOYS ~ He is a smart cookie...knows most of his commands, sit, come, go potty, stay, is still work in progress. Plays with his toys plays by himself Lets me know when he has to go outside to potty now. Starting to play fetch now. he is the cutest puppy ever Knows how to use the steps now for getting on and off the bed and sofa he has spent the last 3 nights sleeping with us "no accidents" and he smells soooooooo good and the puppy kisses :p FRUSTRATIONS ~ He is all to happy to get into a barting match with his big sister Bella  won't stay out of Bella's face...he just bounces right on her "P's her right off" all in both my kitties faces, he just loves them so much...he gets more excited to see them than me  will sherd paper in a matter of sec. prays on the kitties food...hoping they will drop a kibble. kills his toys, will rip the stuffing right out of them  little stinker :D but I love him....wouldn't change a thing about him, well maybe a few  boy that felt good to get off my chest ;):) l Thanks for starting this thread :) |

Reesie does OINKY noises too!!! They are so stinkin cute!! He makes this pouty oinky noise to tell me he is sad. Lol....I LOVE HIM!!! This morning he got up at 5:40 (instead of 5am YAY!!) and laid across my NECK and fell ASLEEP!!!! Omg...he loves to snuggle at night which makes so much sense since he snuggled with his littermates for so long before coming home to me. Then after my neck he moved and laid across my chest and I could tell he wanted to be by my heartbeat!! HE IS SO SWEET!!!!!!!!! Frustration yesterday--little bugger pooped in the den...LOL. Shhhhh!! My husband doesn't know, I quick cleaned it up!!! TeeHee- Viv |
*sigh* The puppy days.... sometimes they seem like sooo long ago even tho Jackson is only 2! They really go by so fast. I guess the main thing I remember is being on such a strict schedule. It was so different for me, being 18 and just being in community college and being used to sleeping in and staying up super late. It was very odd for me being dead tired by 8pm because a lil' pup had kept me busy all day!! Then getting up at 4am to let him out, luckily he stopped waking up in the middle of the night after only about 2 weeks of having them. Luckily, he was always a pretty good pup but either way, it's a lot of work! And I'm not sure I miss it.... LOL!!! I really like my go to sleep at 11pm and wake up at 10am dog ;) |
Ha!!! Brit...Snick is the same...could sleeeeeeep until 10, even 11am sometimes. You're right girl, it is HARD work, forgot how hard sometimes!!!! I can't complain, Reesie is a dream puppy, he is 15 weeks and he does things that Snick didn't do until Snick was about 8 months!!! So different, I think Snick being there to teach him things helps too. I am tired at 9pm though everyday including weekends. But this weekend we made progress and Reesie is staying up until 10 now and sleeping in until about 6....so early, but after he eats, pees/poops, he does go back to bed until 9-10am on the weekends. He is pretty stinkin awesome. SO different getting a well-bred pup than my puppymill Snick. I LOVE having 2!!!! Snick's Sep Anxiety is almost gone!!!! Amazing!! XOXO- Viv |

My JOYS and FRUSTRATIONS JOYS ~ woke up to tons of puppy kisses at 730am Sunday was bath day  to my surprise no fighting it at all!!! :D major mile stone ;) Brushing and drying STAYED still the whole time  Yay!!! He has realized if he is still and don't fight it...he gets cheese :p smarty pants  NO POTTY ACCIDENTS!!! FRUSTRATIONS ~ Went right outside and started that barking match with his big sister Bella. "neighbors have a new dog that barks a lot so we'll blame that on the new dog":p but Harley does like the sound of his "BARK" he doesn't really need any help  found a napkin that had blew off the table from DH's lunch and shredded it out in the yard. "I say thats DH fault tho" Had to throw away another toy, Harley killed it :( and it was one of those stuffless toys at that, ripped it open to get to the squeezer, and they are expensive $10 bucks for 1 toy. |
JOY JOY JOY!!!! Reesie is sleeping through the night!!! He will get up at about 530am and then look around, see everyone is still and silent and cuddle back up and go back to bed until 630am when my alarm RINGS!!!! I LOVE HIM!!! Also, he has been going right to the door to tell me he needs to go out!!! He weighed in at 4lbs5oz yesterday at the vet at 16weeks old, he is SO healthy!!! He can hold his pee for about 3-4 hours now and hasn't had any accident in DAYS!!! (I prob just jinxed myself!!) OH WELL!!!! I LOOOOOOOVE HIM!!!!!!!!! Yipeeeee!!! Viv |
Yay!!! I'm happy for you :D FRUSTRATIONS ~ I feel like I have taken 3 steps back from the 2 step forward in the progress of Bella and Harley playing and getting along  I have noticed the past 2 days Bella has been really snappy at Harley again :(. Bella seems to think ALL the toys and chewies are hers and she isn't gonna share  so I have taken away all the toys and chewies and only let them play with them when I'm playing too, once I'm done I put them up. I feel like such a mean Mommy :( for having to do that...I thought that would help, well now I'm thinking its everything that Bella just doesn't want to share...And I think Harley is going thru his second stage of fear, he is 5 mos now, when Bella snapped at him before he would just shrug it off and continue to play, now he runs to his play yard and curls up in his bed with this look of "why you do that for" and than step very lightly around her for awhile like he is scared...So I'm back to the begining stages of trying to get Bella to be nice to him.:( |
Bella's is showing dominance. Snickers is the same to Reesie, sometimes thay play/fight and then sometimes they FIGHT, SCARY FIGHT!!!! Luckily Snick will share but there are def times I tell him NO when I think he is being TOO MEAN!!! I think your're doing the right thing!!!! Mine are no where near being BFF, but I'm letting them work it out on their own. Sometimes Snick will start the play/fighting but generally it's Reesie and if Snick's not in the mood--WATCH OUT REESIE!!!!! Give it time...I used to stress, now I am just letting it work out on it's own. :) Viv |
Our sweet boy Rocco has brought MANY joys along with a few frustrations :) He is 14 weeks old and has made a great addition to our family! Joys From day 1, he has slept like a champ in her crate, LOVES it and has never once cried or kept us up at night. He pees 100% of the time on his pad in his pen ( his crate door is left open so he can get up and pee if needed, but usually makes it through the night! (however if he is out of the pen, he will pee whereever he wants if not watched like a hawk) His sweet little puppy kisses, and the way he greets us when we get him up. He lays his lil ears back and wags his tail like crazy...it's so cute! The way he has bonded well with the kids...he loves chasing them around the house. He has a really soft bed at my husband's office that he gets so excited about when he see's it. I think it reminds him of his mommy's tummy, as he nuzzles it and cuddles it! Frustrations He squirms like crazy in your arms, and makes it a danger for anyone other than my husband and I to hold him....the kids know they cant hold him unless sitting on the ground. But he has attempted to leap out of our arms several times. He refuses to poop in his xpen and walks around while pooping, so even though he knows to go on the mat, he ends up walking off of it and pooping about 6-12 inches off of it everytime. He has officially found his voice, and WOW!!! Ear piercing yaps at the kids or our cat, or the vacuum....OUCH! He rarely sits still and sleeps on us....he is only interested in sleeping in his crate, and just once, I would love to have him snuggle up to me so we could nap together :) |
Awwwww!! Rocco sounds amazing!!! Reesie is the same--SQUIRMER!!!! When we get home from work and take him out of his x-pen he is CRAZY!!!!! All he wants to do is get down and get in Snickers's face!!!! We keep them separate during the day in separate pens! But I know what you mean, Reesie also tries to leap out of our hands!! I'm hoping after his neuter in April, he will be more calm!!!! :) Viv |
Thank you! I feel better knowing its just not Bella LOL and I agree on letting them work it out. DH says I need to separate them cause he is worried Bella will hurt Harley, like you at times I do have to tell Bella NO cause she is being too mean but I don't think separating them is the answer, they are just gonna have to work it out...and you talk about fighting, scary fighting, they do it too but a few minutes later I will look over and they will be all snuggled up together sleeping. I guess our furbutts are really no different than our skin kids in some ways ;) |

We were thinking the same thing about neutering him...hoping it will chill him out a bit! Hope it works for Reesie, and am crossing my fingers for Rocco! I will look forward to hearing how things go for Reesie! |

I think all Yorkies puppies are squirmers when hold them...I NEVER let anyone pick up my pup I tell them NO...I know it sounds rude but its only for the safety of my pup...He has almost jumped out of our arms too so what I do now if I know I will be picking him up I put his harness on him and hold on to that :) |

tracylynne79- try to start the outdoor asap. When I visited my vet last month, he asked if I was doing pads and I said yes-but was going to transition Reesie to outdoor when it got warmer. My vet recommended I start outdoor right away as it will confuse him. I started outdoor the next day in the subzero temps and let me tell you, I'M SO GLAD I DID!!!!! Reesie is doing phenomenal with the outdoor training. He is holding it, he is not confused at all, and he is going to the door to tell us he needs to go!!!! I dislike pads but understand why many have to use them. I am lucky to have a home where I can take him outside, so if you want outdoor- START RIGHT AWAY!! Using pads will tell Rocco pottying inside is OK!!!!!!! Just my opinion and experience!! We are in the mid 30's and low 40's in MI now and taking him out is a breeze!! He loves the fresh air and smells and always goes POTTY:):) Viv |
Great thread. Love reading all the adventures. Marcie is 5yrs now. And reading everyones's training is a major flash back. lol. |
JOY: My little guy can finally jump onto the couch. This is a joy because I don't have to listen to him whine and whine til I pick him up and put him on the couch. FRUSTRATION: He will be 5 months later this month and he is apparently backsliding in his potty training! I'm going bonkers! |
JOYSSSSS!!!!!!:):)-Reesie is doing amazing with his pooping!!!!!:):) TeeHee, I have him on a tight 3 feedings per day schedule and he poops like clockwork right after breakfast and again after dinner....I LOVE IT!!!!!! Reesie has also started to listen alot more, we just finished puppy class and he passed with flying colors!!!!! There are so many mroe joys I can go on and on:) Reesie & Snickers are also getting along much better now, they still spat like real brothers, and hopefully that will diminish as I am corecting everytime it gets even a little out of hand. FRUSTRATIONS!!! Peeing is another story---he does amazing for DAYS, and then will have a set-back day!!! He has been accident free for 2 days now, so I'm anticipating an accident soon LOL!!!!! Again, if we keep him on the tight schedule, he does well-but if we slip, he will have an accident. Our fault I guess:) Everyday is getting better---OH HOW I LOVE HIM!!!!! :) Viv |
