My Escape Artist I went to school today and my husband got home from work for lunch and to play with Tike. When he got it, he noticed something not right. Tike's Pee Pad was moved into the living room and when I left in the morning after him Tike was in the Play pen and the pottie pad was in the kitchen. There is a second pad in the pen with him but that was untouched because Tike was Out of the Pen. When I left He was in it. there is no way he could jump over it, I dont understand. How small can he get his rib cage, maybe he can squeeze through the cage itself. its about 1.5 inches wide at each gap. Can my 13 week, 2 pound Yorkie really get through that? |
One way to find out is let him think your leaving by opening and shutting the door, but be very quiet and watch from a distance to see what he does. My son has a camera that he watches his two dogs from while he's a work. I don't think they are expensive. |
I like the camera idea. Any chance Tiki is climbing over the top of the pen? Many Yorkies are expert xpen climbers |
When I first got Lily I purchased a beautiful pack and play for her to safely spend the days in during her puppy months. I had it set up nicely and had it in the middle of the family room. It took her three days to figure out how to get out. The first time I caught her out I scolded the kids for taking her out and not putting her back in. Then for the heck of it Dh and I were going out so I hid by the window to watch what she did. Before I got the door closed she was up and over the top in like three seconds. Could not believe it. They are good escape artists! Nothings changed she still is! Lily was only 2.5 pounds... |
We had to stop gating Kasha in because she would climb over a 3 foot gate. They are tricky & nimble little ones. They do have the xpens with a lid. |
