MyLittleOnes | 01-10-2011 12:14 PM | Little Yorkie lots of piddle I have two yorkies, one male 7yrs and a female 6yrs. Both have been fixed. My male is potty trained very well and loves to go outside and always has. My female has "issues". We got her when she was 5mths old and had been trained with pee pads. She was and continues to be very timid so I don't like to scold her too much. The problem is she piddles constantly in the house and out (when she will go out if it's not too cold, wet or snowy, living in Michigan can be a problem). This has gone on since the day we got her.....she is healthy and does not have a bladder infection or anything. She weighs just 3.5 lbs. so I just thought it was because she must have an extremely small bladder, could this be the case? Occassionally she will use her pee pads in the house but lately she has been getting worse and will just piddle on the carpet, area rugs, bath mats and/or clothes left on the floor in my kids rooms. Sometimes it is just a few drops, if she was a male I'd say she was marking her spot, do females do this? I think confinement is the answer for her. I hate to do this when her "brother" can have the run of the house but don't know what else to do. Suggestions please?!? |
