Toilet Paper Eater! Stomper is almost 1 years old. We still can't leave the toilet paper on the roll or he drags it all around the house. What can I do to teach him not to do this? Will he grow out of it? |

Mollie never did that, but now Wyatt is a different story of course he is only 3 1/2 months old. I have quit putting the paper on the roll I just leave it on the back of the toilet. I hope that they outgrow it. |
well in my home, the toilet paper is not in the roll...its actually on top of the roll, where she cant get it... they just love paper ....any kind... |
I had one yorkie that went after the roll when he was a puppy but he grew out of it. I hope your does too. Until then keep it high or the bathroom door closed. |
Toilet paper Yep, :aimeeyork Sweetie got the toilet paper too. It was funny, she had the paper pulled-out, down the hall and in to the living room. What a mass! :jump28ib: She was just a pup and wanted my attention, has not do it since. |
Miko loves paper too! We used to never be able to keep the TP on the roll because he would drag it all over the house. :) Now he doesn't do it quite as often but we can't leave paper laying around because he'll shred it. Hehe :) |
My Asia loooves toilet paper rolls! Also, paper towel! Unfortunately, she's stopped to Mommy's paperwork and even torn pages out of a magazine :( she's so cute i just can't get mad, though! |
I'm not keen on using aversives, but if you're really aggravated, here's a tip that I read. First, you have to condition your dog that a certain smell is associated with bad things. You want to choose a smell that YOU like, for instance vanilla. Put a touch of vanilla in a spray bottle of water. When you catch your dog chewing on the toilet paper (or engaging in another naughty behavior), spray him in the face with the scented water. Just a couple of repeats is supposed to be enough for them to learn to hate that smell. Then, all you have to do is put a drop or 2 of vanilla on the toiler paper to deter them. Might be easier just to move the tp! If you use this method, let us know how it works! |
Hello everyone.... My baby actually eats it though :( I wish he would only play with it... how can I get him to stop eating it.. I litteraly see it in his poop... :( :( He's already a year old... |
