potty training regression. need help!!
 
She was 100% potty trained on pads and I recently started training her to pee outside on the patio. It is the same set up except i put it outside b/c i started getting tired of how bad it would start to smell in my bathroom.

Since i started this transition, she has been peeing and pooping all over the house!!!! What is going on? I would appreciate some input, its driving everyone nuts!!!

I bought a diaper Genie for the used pads and have had no problem with odors....
I flush the No.2s...

Maybe I should do that (get a diaper genie). I also do flush her #2's too. Its just that the ammonia odors are overwhelming!!

It sounds like she may just be confused by the change. We found that anytime we made the tiniest little change in potty habits for our two it was like starting all over. Lot's of praise for getting it right and trying to have superhuman patience for the mistakes got ours back on track. Good luck!

Yea, that's what it turned out to be. She was confused b/c I would take her out to the patio to potty on her tray but when she needed to go, the patio door wasn't open for her to go but she didn't run back to our bathroom to use the tray in there and so she just went potty everywhere in the house. She is still having some mistakes but that's ok b/c we are just going back to her original training. I went out and got a diaper genie like RileyDC suggested and it works wonders.

Just be careful not to overlook the accidents for too long...I've heard that a strong ammonia odor from their urine could indicate a urinary tract or bladder infection. A vet visit would be in order if she continues having accidents. Good luck.

I actually do think she has a UTI even though she doesn't have any other sx. I called the vet and she's scheduled to go see her tomorrow.
