Anywho, given the advice you've already been provided - what questions do you still have? (minus the negative yorkie comments, if you're able to control that aspect; it would be preferable) Btw, my hubby adores and loves our yorkies to no end and is so proud of being seen with his kiddos. But, I should clarify that he is very secure in his masculinity - so being insecure about certain 'breed' would never surface on his radar. Best of luck, and let us know how we can help further! :) |
LOL!!! I have GOT to show this thread to my hubby!! :p He literally looks across the room at our Yorkies and they swoon! My husband has absolutely no problems with anyone knowing how much he adores our furkids...in fact, he ALWAYS want them to come with us when we run errands so that he can show them off. WOW...he loves our Yorkies and somehow managed to create 3 children. Nothin' wrong with his manhood or confidence. You probably need to check both within yourself. I would like to wish your fiance' luck because she's going to need it. |
What the????????????? If you were seriously thinking that your lady friend had two little furkids that you could just toss aside, then I hope you never marry her. Or she you!! What if she had 2 kids, one a little fat and the other skinny. One whines and the other just sits there being an overweight couch potatoe. Would you just call their grandma and say "Ok. I love (?) your daughter, but....I don't like these kids so will you take them for the next few years until I get my head screwed back on?":eek: I think NOT!!! Message to your fiancee: RUN!! Do not walk!! RUN as fast as you can. One of you are going to lose, and I hope it's him. He is going to make your life miserable. Think about it. If you do have children with this man, what will he do to them or say about them??? |
You guys are cracking me up. I just love it and by the way, 2 years ago my husband told me, I will not have a sweater dog ( yorkie ) lol, now we have two of them and just yesterday he ordered boots for my babies lol lol. I love that man of mine |

The dog is barking alot because its bored. An exercised dog is a calm happy dog. And yes you did sign up for this when you moved in with your girlfriend. They are both of your responsibility and youve got to find time to play with them and walk them. Also fill up a can with change and shake it when he barks. |

I understand your girlfriend had the dogs before you moved in with her, but part of being in a relationship is helping one another out. My partner and I each entered the relationship with our own dogs and, just by nature of living together, we ended up sharing responsibility for each. It's just the way it works. As for your other comment ("Plus I won't be caught dead walking a yorkie down the street."), well, that just kind of demonstrates your immaturity. Perhaps you should rethink this whole marriage thing? You really need to be mature to be in a committed relationship and it doesn't seem like you're there yet. |

That right there is an interesting statement. My roommate is definitely not a girly guy and he loves my baby like she was his own. He plays with her, walks her, takes her on rides, cuddles her, baby talks her(lol), puts her clothes on, puts her bows in...there is NO problem in walking a yorkie. Also if your engaged to be married and your living together her dogs now become yours. It's not a one sided thing. So I suggest you man up and take those babies for a walk...just saying:rolleyes:. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=100366 |
