Re-housetraining? Asher is almost a year old now, and I thought we'd gotten this whole pee pad situation solved. Apparently not, though-- because for the last week, he's been peeing on all my comforters, (yes, all 4 of them) and not making an effort to go to his pad, which is right next to the bed. At first I thought maybe he wasn't feeling well, but it seems that he just went out of his way to jump up here and pee on the comforter that I put down not even 20 minutes ago. Have any of you had this problem before, where your dog suddenly "forgets" where his bathroom is? I have no idea why he would need to mark anything, he's the only dog. |
First, if he's gone consistently on his piddle pads for a while, don't rule out illness without a vet checkup. Don't wait till he starts peeing blood to suspect a UTI, or a bladder infection. Kaji, my little boy, started out the same way. Peeing where he shouldn't, having more accidents than usual, even though I keep one piddle pad out for him 24/7 and he knows how to get to it. Take your little one to the vet, it might just be a little infection. |
Yeah, this seems a little bit weird. He must be uncomfortable and unable to control when and where for that matter, he is going potty. I would check with the vet to make sure something more isn't going on and make sure that you don't spot blood or anything in the urine. |
