Potty pads vs. indoor grass patch What do you think is better? We've had to remove all bath mats from our home since our dog confuses them with his potty pads - either that or he just prefers peeing on bath mats. |
I am sticking with potty pads just because they can be picked up and thrown away! No washing. I already have too much laundry to do. :) |
I hate the grass potty Ive had them and they stink you have to wash them daily and as soon as one pet pees they stink to kingdom come Gross Gross Gross did I mention they are Gross. |
Potty Pads Sydney uses a potty pad inside a large dog litter box. She does a good job at knowing to use that versus a rug or mat. |

Our 10 month old yorkie likes the pads, but only 2 spots on them and she wont use them! And, we still find 'presents' in other areas of the house, and sometimes stops and goes right in front of you. She tinkles all the time on the pad, but the pooping, its about 85%. Any suggestions? |
I wouldn't give her free run of the house until she's 100%. Keep her on a strict feed and play schedule. I suggest using a crate. It helps a great deal in potty training. If she won't use the pad more than twice, fold the edge over, covering the spot so she can get use to using it more than twice. Example of Schedule: 8 a.m. Potty 8:30 Breakfast 8:45 play 9:15 potty 9:30 crate |
