5 month old yorkie question? I just got my 5 month old yorkie and she only goes pees in the morning and at night, this is our first yorkie ,is this normal? |
I wish I had a definitive answer to your question. (Hopefully someone else here will!) My only suggestion is that maybe your little one could be peeing at times during the day that you're not noticing. Their little bladders are so small that the pee spots could be difficult to see - especially if your little one prefers to go somewhere 'private' - like behind the couch or under a chair. Just a thought.... |

Yes, I think so too. Keep her with you on her harness and leash all the time. Take her out often and say the same word as she pees.(e.g. "Hurry up...hurry up" "Good, hurry up") Eventually she'll pee on command for you...:p Congrats on your new baby :) |
I would be very reluctant to believe that. She must be hiding it very well. They are so darn tiny and at 5 months maybe the longest they could hold it in during the day would be maybe 3 hours - 4 the longest. If you have carpeting - it gets hidden because it is such a small amount. If you get yourself a black light and turn that on in the dark room - you may be very surprised. And if I'm wrong - then congratulations - you are the luckiest puppy owner in the world. |
Oh yeah........ forgot my manners. Hi and welcome! |
I have to agree. That does seem a bit odd. I would take a really good look around and also keep a close on her for a while. Is she drinking enough? My adults go pee more than that as evident on the pee pads. :) |
I agree with the above posters... they are sneaky pee-ers!! Have you taken her to the vet for a checkup? This is something you might want to mention so they could check it out just in case. |
