I've never had any problem with leaving NM on carpets of different colors. But you might want to test it in an inconspicuous place like the back of a closet first. |
I've used NM on several black area and throw rugs as well as my normal carpeting ... not a single stain or run! I think that, if caught in the act of pottying where they shouldn't, it's ok to make a loud noise ( I use the same "buzzer noise" I use for negative behavior in training but louder) to startle them or get them to stop. I say bad potty and Kash usually checks it out (and then ignores me) She hates the spray bottle so I can't imagine her enjoying me spray down her pees! I agree with everyone else that confined is better! I stopped crating at about 16 weeks because she slept thru the night on the bed ... but other than that staying in the potty room has helped Kasha learn how to earn treats ... I mean pee where she's supposed to. 10 weeks is very young! To me, the difference btwn 12 and 14 was huge so I can only imagine the difference you'll see!!! Just be patient and use looots of treats! Goodluck! |
