Help! Road block with house breaking It would seem that Rosie has attitude! She will go out to poo and pee for me but if anyone else puts her out she refuses, comes into the house and poops and pees. How do I break this habit? Is she trying to please me and trying to dominate the rest of the household? I don't get this.... I've got her on a leash, she has the length of that in the living room with everything she needs. The kids are supposed to watch her all the time and take her out on regular intervals. I'm hoping that she'll figure this out. If we cage her anytime other then to sleep at night she howls and cries. What have I done to her? |
Sounds like you may go out with her....while others aren't? Have them stay with her until she goes. |
They do and she won't pee. I go out and she pees. It's strange! |
hi there - just a word of caution - be very careful leashing a dog in the house - they can easily wrap it around furniture and strangle - unless you have someone in the room at all times watching it could be a hazard. A neighbor (who I kind of despised) a long time ago kept their dog tied up in the yard - they came home one day to find him (for lack of an easier word) hanging :(......he'd become so tangled and no one was there to save him |
She's on a leash but only when I am in the house. With the kids they have to keep her close to them. Otherwise she is in her pen when we are out. But the problem is, the kids take her out after meals, after she wakes up and she won't do her business. Then she comes into the house and pees or poops. I wonder if it is because I gave her too much freedom to begin with? Argh! I've been told Yorkies are stubburn ! I love her to bits though, my husband is getting very tired of her though. It's getting harder and harder |
