Pad training not working. Guys, I bought a baby girl to keep my Rocky company. She hates her crate and will cry all night long if I leave her there. INside is her bed and a wee wee pad. Sometimes she uses it to pee, most of the times to poo. But once she is out and free, she will pee here and there whenever she wants too. Its as if the wee wee pad is not attracting her same way it does for ROcky. What do I do?? |
I'm so sorry you haven't gotten a single response. You're post got buried, but I found it. :) Do you have a spot where you keep Rocky's pad? As soon as you take your new little girl out, take her straight to that potty area. Give her a potty command and stay with her until she potties. If 15 mins pass by and no potty, put her back in her crate. If she goes in there on her pad, great! If she doesn't, wait 15 mins and take her to the pad again. Only give her freedom when she earned it. When she's out and about, you need to watch her constantly. If she starts sniffing or any other potty behavior, immediately take her to Rocky's pad. Set her up for success and she'll learn what it is you want from her through positive reinforcement. |
