She just wont stop!
 
My yorkie is 5 months and she is cratted in the day, which she holds it from 8-1 then 2-5 so I know she is able to hold it, so there is no health issue. When we are home and she is playing she will pee anywhere she wants. She just stops and pees. She does go outside and she does use her potty pads during night, but in order for her to go outside I have to take her out, she doesn't ask to go out. Instead she just pees whereever she is at, luckly we dont have carpet, but I've had enough! ANy ideas?!?!

She is still very young, my 3 won't tell me when they want to go out. I just try to guess. Calvin is the baby 8 months old, he will sometimes just pee in the floor even though he knows where the pads are and that mommy would take him outside. I wish I could teach them to tell me. Tessie is 16 months Hobbes 15 months and Calvin 8 months so they are at different stages of training. There are a lot of wonderful people on here that can give you great ideas. Good Luck

You need to watch her when she allowed out of her pen/crate. Not just keep an eye on her when your doing other things, but really watch her like a hawk. If you don't correct her when she's in the act of pottying in the wrong place, she will learn not to do it. If you try to correct her after the fact, then she won't understand. Also, if you clean your carpets with an enzyme cleaner to eliminate all traces of urine, that would help her out too.

Ahh its frustraing! It doesnt bother me as much as it bothers everyone else living in the house.. stepping in pee is not so much fun! I know she can hold it, I just wish she would stop letting out a little amount of pee every 20 minutes. If she is anywhere but home she will hold it untill she has to go, so I know she can do it, wish she would just do it at home!

90% of the time I do catch her, give her a stern no, pick her up and let her sit outside for a few minutes. She knows shes not suppose to pee, because she doesnt do it other places but home! I think my mistake was starting her off using potty pads, teaching her it was ok to pee inside the house.

How often do you take her out when you are home with her?

I take her out after she gets up, after she eats or drinks (she drinks a lake!), when she stops playing with the other dogs and before we go to bed. About every hour I will pick her up if shes playing and take her out, but she pees about every 20 minutes in the house. If you can predict when she will need to go pee, then yes take her out. It's better to set her up for success. When she does pee outside make a big deal out of it. Give her a treat and tons of praise. It's better when it's an extra special treat just for pottying. She's still very young and with time she'll get it better.

She is young, thats what I keep telling everyone at home, but since my german shepard was trained in less then a week, they think that it should be done the same way! I will keep working on it with her, thanks guys :-)

Yorkies are so stubborn! Plus, each dog is an individual and some pick up things quicker than others.
