Peeing on beds and couch!!!!!!! My best friend is now the mommy of Guinness McLovin. They are eating him up and he's really come into his own with the other dog they have, Rigger. He has full access to a doggie door and runs in and out all day at his leisure. He has toys, he gets full attention of the family and he has his blanket that he had here and his own space. So my question is, why is he full on peeing on their beds and couch?!!? He didn't do that here, so I'm worried that he's marking in hopes of not being relocated again. To which I guess is normal behavior but I feel badly :( He's doing great otherwise, they are sooo happy with him. They have tried crating him and keeping the bedroom doors shut. It takes one second for that door to open and he runs in and jumps up and pees on their mattress!!!! I'm totally dumbfounded :( I sent him with three belly bands and told her to dig those out. But with him running in and out all day with Rigger in that doggie door, I'm not sure what else she can do. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated!!! |
Peeing is not marking..Marking is just a few drops...If more then a few drops have they provided a means for their dog to go up and down the bed/couch? I have a very small dog that can go up but will not come down on her own...she did pee in the bed  but it was because she got up and could not get down. Dogs do not mark because they worry about being relocated...:) |
So marking is only a few drops? Ok. Well he's not afraid of jumping up on anything or down. He immediately jumps up to pee. Not waiting. It's so fast!!! |
He might have an infection and should always be ruled out first if he is doing something different. Just like humans when we get a UTI...we have to run to the bathroom... |
