My puppy pees when people come to our house.
 
She is almost 1 year. Will she grow out of it? :confused:

My old pug did that, he actually peed on people :eek: We paid a lot of dry-cleaning bills.
I'm not sure if they do grow out of it, it could be from excitement or being submissive.

She gets super excited and her ears go flat and her tail goes a mile-a-minute and when they pet her she pees.

My baby does that too! When I come home I have to ignore her until she settles down, otherwise she'll pee! She is doing the ears down, tail going a mile a minute too! Gee ~ they must be sisters!

FINALLY! Someone else who has a Yorkie who does this! Porscha always gets so happy to see everyone she pees on their shoes, or on their laps. I think its cute but my friends get annoyed, she will be a year old on Saturday so I hope someday she will grow out of it too!

I have two yorkies....10 months and 4 years. The both pee all over someone who pets them. When my husband gets home from work he has to walk around the kitchen a bit or get a drink of water or something while they calm down or they pee on the floor every single time.

My puppy used to do the same thing. He used to pee on strangers that would stop to pet him. I had to warn people about him. But thankfully he grew out of it around 7 months. My vet said sometimes they grow out of it and sometimes they don't.

My pom who is 6 still does this from time to time, especially when my mom, aka grandma shows up. But for the most part, we have learned not to make a big deal about coming home. I put my purse down, sort through the mail, and then say hello. It is most likely a submissive thing.
