Sounds like Elvis is active, so that isn't the problem. As you say, maybe he doesn't like the dogs barking at him. My boy loves to go walking, but he anticipates certain houses where we have had scary encounters with loose dogs. Maximo will sit and refuse to move (but not in a scared way). It is so frustrating because it would be best if we hurried past those houses.
Try talking Elvis to different places to walk. The only other thing I can suggest is taking him to places where they are lots of barking dogs to de-sensitize him. Of course, keep him safe. He doesn't need close interaction to be desensitized. |
