need advice...pottying everywhere!!
 
Belle is now 6 months old and had been doing well pad training...except for a week after she was spayed. Anyways these last few days she has decided that she can poop & pee anywhere her little butt pleases, usually in the kitchen area. As soon as we see it, we point and say NO!, and put her in the room where her pad is (which is a mudroom). Is this something I should have checked by the vet? or is this a phase? Now I have to leave her out there and I feel so bad cause its cold though I do put her snuggy on....

She may have a UTI. You may want to collect a urine sample for the vet. The best way to collect a sample is to turn a pee pee pad over and have her (hopefully) pee. If you collect the urine and will be delivering to your vet in an untimely fashion you should preserve te sample in the fridge. Good luck!

if its a UTI isnt it usually little dribbles? and shes pooping too though she was never a fan of going directly on the pad:p

My little girl is about the same age, 5 months. We are having similar problems. I asked the vet about it, and her advice was to go back to the basics again. Start over as if she was a new puppy; either at my hip or under constant supervision. I hope it helps! Good luck.

I agree with this! If my dog starts to have accidents we go back to basics!! It works like a charm.;)

we are having the same problem with Molly. She is 5 months old and has been defiant with her potty training for the last 2 weeks. I was training her on the pads but she seems to pee everywhere but on them. I bought her a pet pen that she will now stay in when I can't watch her and I will start bringing her outside to use the bathroom. She does well when I bring her outdoors so maybe that is the better option for her. It just bothers me that she was doing the pad thing most of the time then just decided to pee & poop everywhere but there. I fuss her and she knows she is doing wrong b/c she gives me those sad puppy dog eyes!

We too had difficulty after being spayed. Back to basics and she does great when she is in one of her many xpens and is improving otherwise. Just takes a very constant eye but I do believe she is getting it 'again'. I sure can't wait til spring to begin the outdoor training!!
