seneedha | 01-17-2010 07:37 PM | Won't stop humping...sooo embarassed! Hey everyone! We just adopted an 8 month old Yorkie 2 weeks ago. He's doing great potty training and following commands EXCEPT when we visit my parents'. They have a miniature poodle and he constantly wants to sniff him and jump on his back :(. It's so embarassing! And it's driving our poodle craaazy! He (the poodle) will growl at him in disdain but, he just continuously follows him. We just had him neutered Thursday and hoped it may help with behavior like this. We visit my parents alot and hoped he and the poodle would play together but, he's making it impossible. We've had to crate him after over an hour of trying to let them smell of each other so that he might calm down. We also got onto him when he jumped onto the poodle and he would back away but only for about a second until his was back .
Pleeeeease help me! He was around other dogs at his foster Mom's even though he was an only pet before. There was a puggle at his foster Mom's they say he constantly jumped on but, they just ignored his behavior and so did the female dog because she was too big for him to worry about them. They stressed over and over how badly he needed neutering, which we've done. I don't know how to correct this behavior now! |
