Peeing on bed and running under chair :confused:Greetings, Roxy returned home after 7 days at the kennel. first day she peed on floor in my bedroom and ran under the chair, next day she peed on my bed and ran under the chair. Tonight she just did it again. First time I cleaned it up and told her bad dog, next time I cleaned it up and told her bad dog. This time I cleaned it up and put her in the front room. She barked momentarily and was quiet- 10 minutes later she is whining, moaning and lightly barking and scratching at the door sporadically. How long should I leave her isolated? She normally sleeps with me-should I not let her sleep with me tonite. ( I let her go to doggie day care for a day and then an overnite kennel stay prior to leaving her for the seven days. ) |
How old is she? Does she normally tell you when she has to go outside or is she on a schedule? The reason I ask is when Sophie Kate was younger and we would board her there was always a couple of days of retraining (they did not walk her nearly as much as I did). I always had to go back the basics with her and establish the schedule, this included a lot of praise for going outside and a training treat. |

Is she mad at you because you left her for 7 days? I'm asking because my lovely male a while back was put into the crate while I took a shower, sat pretty to get out when I got out and then jumped on my lap and peed all over me...I was so mad!!! Just wondering if there are any thoughts on that. Also, why can't the boarding facility walk them enough so that they don't regress....I'm sure your paying them and you should have some say as to when to walk and feed your animal????????????? Do you have a crate? Maybe crating would be best until you're back on schedule? Did you leave them wee wee pads? |
She is not mad at you, she is not out to get revenge. Dogs do not hold grudges, they do not get even. She is upset and confued, she does not know why she was left. She does not know she did wrong. She is hiding because she is sorry and appoliogizing. Does she wet on the bed during the night? If xso perhpos she has a UTI. When my daughter leaves her dog at the kennel he holds it as long as he can, when she picks him up, and get him out on the grass, he pees for 2 minutes straight. So perhaps she held it too long and got a UTI. It would be very unusual for a dog to pee on the bed that they sleep in. |
Uti I would have her checked for a UTI. |
