Pee Pads for Training...What brand do you like? I need to find a pad that will hold up when Mickey does his "kicking feet thing". What store do you get your pup's at and what brand is it? Thanks:aimeeyork |
Disposable pads is what i use. I use disposable pads and I order them from here and love them. Washable Puppy Pads Washable Puppy Pads - PersonallyPaws I have both the regular and plush. I think the regular are better than the plush. The plush do not seem as absorbant to me. I have assorted sizes but mostly 18x24 because they fit in my pee pad holders that i bought from Pet Smart. I really like the pee pad holders because it helps the pee pad stay put. I also bought medium sized crated for the pups to stay in when i'm not home and the holder is a perfect size for the crates i have. My pups used to toss the pad all over the place until I put them in the holders. Premium Pad Training Tray - New Puppy Center - Dog - PetSmart |
pee pad holder I just thought of one thing to add. The pee pad holder has helped with keeping their aim on the pad because it as a ridge around it. When they used to go pee and were near the end of it, the pee would end up half on the carpet every so often. Having the pee pad holder has eliminated that issue :) |
I buy Champion Breed from Kmart. They are $11 for 50 pads, the best value I have found, and better quality I think than the Out! brand I was using before. |
Of the ones we've tried (Simple Solution, Target brand, Hartz, and another Wal-Mart Brand, I like the last ones we got at wal-mart the best. I think it may have been Blue Ribbon pads. I remember they were in a green package and you could get 14 for $4. They seem to be more durable and they apparently have a stronger smell to the dogs than the other pads we've bought. The next ones I recommend are the ones from Target. |
I used the Arm & Hammer puppy pads and I got them from Target. They seem to hold in alot of the smell from pee and the scent of the pad helped my puppy to go right away when I put him on it. |

I order through EZwhelp.com and they are really priced reasonable :) |
I use the washable ones and I also use the simple solution in the purple bag at pet smart. I like those bc they are 100% leak proof and they are like 4 or 5 ply and she cannot shread them! |

Which pads exactly do you get? He IS so proud of himself-LOL |
I was using Pee Pee pads from Kroger, well i got them there b/c it was the only place that sold the small packs. Now i use Hartz. I found them at Walgreens, 50 pads for $10. I am always looking for something better. I think i'll be trying Arm & Hammer next. =] |
I use both. I think you need washables. I use a washable under the disposable. I throw mine away when I see they're used. For washables I have many different types. My favorite is made by Medline (or like it). I don't dry them in the dryer. Ryan has great prices on pads. Your yorkie can do the urine thing where they try to spread their urine all over. What nicnames do you have for it? |
Oh duh. I just reread my earlier post and see i mention using disposable pads and giving a link for washable. All I use is the washable and they work great for my new puppies...so far no damage and they like to do the scratch thing too :) I think all the hot cocoa and staying up late with the kids to play rock band is getting the best of me. *yawn* :) |
