I wash my grass 1x a week. I have two dogs that are mad pissers (LOL).
I put the grass into a zipped up pillow case, I use tide, white vinegar and bleach in the cycle. When done, I hang the grass overnight on a rack, it is dry and ready for the next morning.

I pick the poop off with toliet paper and flush. If there is ever yucky soft poop, I use paper towel and Simple Solutions to clean that area off.

Okay, cool! I would really like to get the grass. My apartment is set up so there's no good, out of the way place to put a pad. The grass is so much cuter.

If you leave the grass down for a week, does it smell? Do you have to have backup grass for when you're washing / drying what your dog just used?

I still use throw away pee pads under the grass to collect the urine. I change these pee pads every morning, so there is a fresh one for the day/night. I don't smell the urine. When my grass is being washed and dried, I use the pee pads on the floor.

You get 2 patches of grass, one to use and one to wash. You don't smell the urine, and the poop I pick up all day and flush.

The first one I ever got was the large DoggiePotty Indoor dog bathroom. Doggie potty a training solution.
I like this system and the grass is A+ top grade. The problem is, TJ is a "side" peer. When I used the dog liter boxes (with pee pads inside) he would lift his leg and pee on the side. I was constantly cleaning pee puddles. So I thought the grass would solve this. The doggiepotty is top of the line...but...it is "raised" so once again, I had TJ peeing on the edge, and me cleaning pee all the time.

So I decided to make my own set up. I got a roll of linoleum from home depot (approx. $20), I got the plastic "boot" trays from home depot (approx. $5 each) and I cut up my doggiepotty grass (since it was the large size) I cut it into 3 equal pieces, and it all fits perfect! I have a 2 tray setup up stairs, and 1 tray downstairs. I still have to line the bottoms with pee pads to catch any of TJs edge peeing, and up the wall for TJ's "high" wall pee...but this actally works the best for him...and me :D

I know this is an old three but I was wondering if anyone who was using their rascal box was still using it. I just got one brand new on craigslist to replace one I made which was working out ok. Roxy just needed something bigger to circle in.
