HELP...he never stops peeing!! My yorkie Rudy is the best thing in the whole world BUT he pees on the carpet all the time...we have done everything...private trainer, etc. But he still finds a way to sneak away and tinkle here and there...I know its not cuz he HAS to go because when I am not home he stays on hard floors and NEVER goes there...when I am home and he needs to go out he scratches at the door so it must just be FOR FUN!! ANy ideas... |
he could be just marking his territory. which is more then likely the case. is he neutered? |
Yes he is neutered...he was at 6mo. BUT he still wont stop |
sounds like he's trying to mark his territory, I'd suggest puppy training. |
What, exactly did this private trainer do for you? What did they suggest you do when they left, and how long has it been? How old is your pup? |
Have you tried a belly band? When I got my little man he would mark his territory like that. I use a belly band in the carpeted part of the house and he never wets it. When I take him out side I take it off and when he comes in he stands and waits for me to put it on him. So cute!!! :p |
It does sound as if he is "marking" possibly and I agree as the other post stated that a belly band might work well. Have you had him vet checked to make sure their isn't any underlying bladder/health issues by chance? |
Sounds like hes marking his territory. Is there a female around thats in heat?Mine starts marking as soon as he smells a female in heat. |
What is the difference between a belly band and a doggie diaper? I tried the doggie diaper but my Lexi could not even walk in it. Is the belly band better? Anyone have a picture? Where do you buy one? |
Imloggia, it I were you, I'd try to find away to keep him off the carpet, especially when you aren't there to supervise him. Can you use a baby gate to separate the areas of your house that are hardwood from those that have carpet? |
