Are those dogs at some sort of disadvantage healthwise or personality-wise? Do they suffer? If so, I am going to give my puppy to my aunt when I return to work full time. I don't want him to suffer. :( | I\'ve thought about this, and some of the conclusions I\'ve reached are that I think puppies need a human more than an adult dog does. Joey really seemed to need human interaction much of the time the first 8 months. Many people get two dogs to lessen the alone time, but the dogs bond with each other more than the human. I think if I were going to be gone most of the day, I would try to find a rescue. One of the advantages of a Yorkie is that they really seem like a human child, but this can be one of their disadvantages too. Lots of people do do it, and will say that their dog is fine, but after knowing the breed, I would not recommend a person doing this, also many breeders won\'t even sell to a person who is gone all day, and this should tell you something. |
