when to housebreak? I just read the book "How to housebreak your dog in 7 days" and i am going to try and use this method for housebreaking. We are getting a 5 1/2 month old puppy next week. I have 4 kids and lots of activities, but I am home most of the time. We will probably take her most places we go - soccer games and practices mostly right now. So I am wondering if I should start the 7 day training right away when we get her or if we could wait a week or two and let her get used to the family and new surroundings first. |
Hi - I suggest you start training from day 1. no use letting them get bad habits. Good luck |
I would start ASAP! I start my puppies as early as 6 weeks. |
I got Bells at that age and it took about three months to get where she was accident free. She is almost 11 months now and she is 100 percent pee pad trained. I can let her out in the house all the time EXCEPT when we leave her at home by herself.:animal36Be consistant! Good Luck.:) |
Start as soon as you get her. Get the "rules" down right off the bat, don't let the new baby get started witha bad habit you find hard to break later on. Good luck & congrats on the new addition to your family.:) |
