Agressive/Playful My 13 month old Yorkie just pulled a new one at the dog park. Up until now - he's been a perfect gentleman - but a pre-teen was in the park and Bennett ran up to her in a very agressive and barking manner. I picked him up immediately and gave him a time out. After that - he was OK - but she was a little understandly stand-offish. Was it just a personality clash - or a forewarning of things to come? He goes to day care every weekday and up until this morning - I had never witnessed this type of behavior. Clues, anyone? |

Did she lean over him. reach for him. Make a fast move. What was his body language just be before he went off. You need to note both and all of that to make a judgment call. I just watch it but a one off can just be a bad day. JL |
No Sudden Moves! I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. It was something she either had on - or that she didn't greet him. I will watch it - I always do - and try to figure it out. He's not around kids - ever - and I think the daycare is pretty aggressive play - so maybe the combination is the problem! Thanks. |

If not have a look at Turid Rugrass stuff or even Brenda Aloff to become more aware of what that is. It could be a simple eye blink that is your warning something is off. No really..my girls cue we are about to blow is a ear twitch and I mean a twitch a very little movement of the ear to a lower and back postition and it a second move and we are off to the races. If he does not like kids well get him in and around them and have them simply feed treat at a distance and work closer. JL |
