We are taking him back Sadly, we are going to have to take Scotch back :( He is totally adorable and he is getting so much better with the potty training (he knows he has to use his pads and he will only poops in his xpen's pad, still he preferes to pee on the carpet). I've been told he is too young to have left his mom, hence the biting issues. But my second son is due pretty soon and I won't be able to give him the attention he is getting right now. Scotch deserves a family who will pay him all the attention he needs. (We are taking him back to his breeder, mommy, daddy and brothers, so I don't feel that bad) It was nice to meet you all and thanks for those who shared their wisdom with me. Thanks! Sofia & Scotch |
It's very commendable of you to take him back while he's still young enough to adjust quickly to a new home. I'm sorry it didn't work as quickly as you were hoping. Maybe some day in the future you can try again. For now please, do feel you have to leave just because Scotch is going back. This is a wonderful forum to learn all about yorkies and I think it'd be great for you when you need a mommy break from the children :p Prayers that your delivery goes very well and smoothly. ((((((Hugs))))))) for thinking of Scotch's needs before your own! |

Oh I am sorry that you have to take little Scotch back. You know your situation and know what is best for you and your family. I hope it works out for all of you. |
I'm sorry little Scotch didn't work out for you. What a nice thing to do for the little guy to return him to the breeder since you realize that he will need more attention than you can give him right now. Congratulations on the new baby!! You sound like a wonderful mom! I hope you stick around YT and maybe a Yorkie will be right for you a little further down the road. |
I'm so sorry that I did not see your posts before now. Sometimes doing the most selfless this is the very best for everyone involved. Know in your heart that you are doing the right thing for your little guy. :animal36 |
Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only person that had to return my Yorkie back to the breeder. I felt so sad and cried so much but I knew in my heart it was the right thing to do. We picked up our puppy on the weekend and I had to bring him back to the breeder the next day. He just so tiny and needy that I knew I could not give him the dedication that he needed. Lots of tears but I know in my heart it was the best thing. He is back with his mommy and sister and the breeder told me he is doing fine. All the Best and maybe one day we will be ready to bring a Yorkie into our home! |
Yorkies are a ton of work. I totally understand that with a new baby on the way that a young yorkie pup would be a lot to handle. Hard decision but probably the best for all involved including the pup! Good Luck and good for you! :) |
I commend you! You realized that you could not do what was right for the animal and took him back to the breeder. There is no shame in that, only honor. |
