train yorkies , please help. it's been almost a year
 

i wanted to know how to train yorkies from start.

my yorkie knows no tricks. he's 1 year 2 months. and will not listen to me.

been teaching him from time to time and no success. over a year now.

i just meet a women with the same dog. and her dog is only 3 month older and her dog knows sit, lay down, roll over, play dead, stay,

i try to ask her, but say her son train him not her. so she had no idea.

when mine knows none, am i doing something wrong?

are there any good tutorials only for yorkies.

Do you have a pet store near you that holds classes? They are very helpful, and can show you how to train your dog basic obedience. Also, they will show you how to teach them tricks. With someone to teach you, and you and your dog practicing together, you will be amazed how fast they can learn.

my only options is online looking for lessions.

Keep looking, there may be trainers/classes other than in pet stores.

Trick Training
 

I trained mine with a clicker, very easy. Start by teaching them, the clicker sound means a treat. Click and treat. Once they understand that (about three clicks & three treats!Ha HA) Teach them sit. with the clicker in the left hand, your dog standing right in front of you, (I sit on the floor) put your right hand on thier hind end, say "sit" and gently push thier bottom down. As soon as the bottom hits the floor , click, say "good sit", and treat. The thing they learn is the click sounds means they are doing it right. Don't introduce a new trick until they totally have mastered one. After they master sit, you can phase out the clicker and treat and they should sit on command, of course a "good boy" from you is in order.I have used this method to teach mine: sit, down, roll over, play dead, army crawl, shake, high five, wave bye-bye, tell me a secret, leave it, limbo dancing, circles, give me a kiss,and jumping through hoola hoops. One of mine didn't start trick training until he was 7 seven years old. I was training him at the same time as a 6 month old, side by side. In my avatar you will see three of them side by side "having school". They all learn at different paces, some tricks ny older one got faster and some the younger one learned the trick first. It's alot of fun, for both me & them, and when they "get it" and understand what you want them to do, they are so pleased with themselves. It is great for thier minds, keeps them from being bored. Limit training sessions to 3-5 minutes, once or twice a day, or thier attention will wander. My Little Scooter has the attention span of a gnat, so I can tell when he's had enough school!:p

do you know where can i get a clicker?

You should be able to buy one in any pet supply store, or online. Just google "buy training clicker". I know you can get them off amazon, or petsmart, etc.

OMG!

i just took my yorkie to pet grooming and they could not finish it.

they started cutting nails. he starts bitting them. one lady got bite 2 time and one huge scrach on her chest. they could not even cut the hair and they told me to get him train, or get a small pill from the Vet to calm him down.
and they told me ," never in their live they have seen a yorkie like this. "
he then started to pee all over the place....

i need to get him train and listen to me fast.

ofcourse when he got home. he's calm and don't bite me.

hes good with my family but he's mean to all others.
he never want anyone to touch his paws or legs. when i do they try to bite me.'
