moving with my puppy I will be moving to a new apartment with my puppy Stella in 2 weeks. I am in the process of crate training her. She is doing really well as long as I am taking her out every few hours (she still has maybe one accident a day in the house). I try to catch her in any accidents and take her right outside. She has her 'spot' to go in and when I am at work she goes on pee pads (she is confined to a portion of the bathroom). My question is: is my moving to a new apartment going to mean I will have to "retrain" her all over again? I am nervous that this move will undo any progress we have made. Any advice? Thanks!! |
I dont think you will. I think its a continuous process so you will still be doing it in the new place. :: |
If Stella is being potty trained now and still learning, the process will need to continue in a new environment. It would be a good idea to keep her in a small area and not let her have the free space of your place until she get used to her new place. Good luck. |
