She cries if I put her down I just got a yorkie puppy yesterday, she is a little under eight weeks old and every time I put her in her play pin or even on the ground for longer then a few seconds she starts to cry. Is there anything I can do to break this? |

Okay thank you, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. |
Good luck with your new fur baby, and welcome to YT! |
This is a wonderful time to make a very good bond between you and her. Enjoy it while you can as she will be getting independent soon enough, and want to be on her own. |
Welcome to YT family, she is very young and in a new inviroment. Lexi did that too when we first got her. Each day she got better and now she rules the household. Good luck you have come to the right place everyone will help you on the way:D Hugs Cheryl & Lexi:aimeeyork |
Thank you! |
a little growing time and this will pass, do you have a blanket or something that is now theirs.. my JD has a blanket which he loves in his bed. I remember being told even a small ticking clock in there bed helps them feel like they have company. Each day will be a new experience for your furbaby.. ENJOY.. |
We didn't get this because we brought him home at 16 weeks but a lot of people had a lot of success with: Petstages Heartbeat Pillow - Toys - Dog - PetSmart It's a soothing heartbeat pillow which reminds them of their mama and littermates. Also, my husband wore a tee shirt and then put it in his crate so that he had his scent. Good luck!!! By the way, this product can be found in almost any pet store. |
Petstages Puppy Cuddle Pal at PETCO This also looks really neat too. I like that you can put it in the microwave to provide warmth although you live in Florida so that might be unnecessary. All petstages products are really good. Please get rid of the toy whenever your baby chews a piece off or you see it tearing. |
this is a good way to potty train her=) Hold her in your lap all the time (when possible) and put her on the pee pad or outside every 45 mins or so and tell her potty.... this is how I trained Pixie. Pixie was a complete lap pup=) Sounds like that is what you got... a mama's baby. This is how Priscella trained Uni too=) |

My little girl also cried a bunch in the beginning. I just carried her everywhere. It took about a week for her to start feeling secure. Now she is four years old and very independent, so I do not believe carrying her around the first week was damaging. I think she just needed love and comfort. Hope you enjoy your sweet furbaby! |
I don't think you have to worry about spoiling her and always having to hold her,all of mine wanted to be held when we first got them home. Now they cuddle when they want to and I kind of miss them wanting to be held all the time. |
