He was on eukanuba when I first got him a month ago but was having a lot of soft stool, so we changed him to royal canin puppy food. Is this good? what holistic premium food would you recommend? My 2 older dogs are on Canidae and I am switching them to solid gold wee bits. but I am not too sure about it either. | Solid gold wee bits (pink sparkly bag) is good! Fromm's, Evengers, merrik, chicken soup for puppy/dog lover's soul, and many more. My yorkies prefer Fromm's. And all human grade foods are interchangable (which is good ... do you like eating the same thing for months on end?) Royal canin is loaded with fat, which is what makes it sooo yummy. I used to feed my older boy all the expensive brands sold at petsmart. Not so much anymore. And I've seen a HUGE improvement in his coat, teeth, breath, and over all health. Try puppy gold by Fromm's. It is AMAZING for my little baby, he has stopped gaining weight right now at 1.8lbs at 16 weeks. He has been this weight for 3 weeks now. but the vet says he is healthy and yes I've gotten two other opinions, callme a worry wart but I've never had a baby this small. Oh and BEWARE a switch from dog food to premium food will cause the dog to go thru a detox. So expect softer stool. As long as they are drinking enough and no noticable other changes adding a baked sweet potato will harden that poop up (but try to stick it out for as long as possible). Trust me, its worth it. If you have any other questions pm me. good luck! |
