As for him not coming back to the thread... (1) He's probably busy. I doubt that he has the time to stay continuously on the board...OR (2) He's taken all the verbal abuse he plans to stomach after asking for guidance.
I am having a great deal of trouble understanding the verbal cruelty of some people to another human being...while at the same time they cry foul at the treatment of a dog. Am I the only one seeing the disparity in this?
I cannot imagine a worse teaching method than condemnation. A person asks for help and advice and what is given is condemnation? Exactly how is this supposed to help? Rather than encouraging him to change, the condemnation creates a "circle the wagon" defensive pose which will do nothing but make the person try to prove the effectiveness of the original method...and the dog continues to suffer.
My word! There was a real opportunity here for genuine teaching and retraining which would have helped the situation. Instead, the person asking for help was lambasted and condemned...really encourages him to return for further advice, doesn't it? | Indeed certain points you listed are accurate, however in turn, you are now doing the same to everyone who has given their two cents.
Perhaps to sooth swollen mouths...If in the beginning when HE COULD CLEARLY SEE HIS METHODS WERE NOT WORKING...he would have been a bit more open minded, the berating would have been less harsh. This site has been created for all of us to communicate, seek help and read opinions with the hope of leaving the with some sort of value. When a person seeks help for what he already knows is not working, do not in turn defend your methods amd disregard the harsh truths. Sounds cliche but dont dish it if you cant take it. |
