i have 2 and i change their pads once a day.. sometimes twice depending on how often its been used. i take the poo off of it and flush it down the toilet as well. |
Our little guy is finicky he will go two maybe 3 times on his pad at most then will refuse to use it till it is changed.;) |
Oh well aren't you all the lucky ones!!!!! My little BRAT will only use them 1X!!!!!! She will circle & circle & whine & cry if there is one little puddle until I put down a new one. I know I know she has me trained very well don't ya think? I've also cut our pee pads in half because she goes through them like crazy! MOMMY TO PRECIOUS:aimeeyork |
Penny will go on the 2 - 3 times depending on where the previous spots are. If she can't find a way to circle without stepping in a wet spot, she will move to the very edge and then it is half on the floor. We also go through a ton of pads. I think they smell after just one time. If you don't leave the house and come back in you might not notice it. If someone is coming over, I make sure we have a fresh pad out and change it right after she goes if they are still here. We are going to get the Pet Loo eventually and stop using the pads. I sure hope she will learn to use it. If she doesn't then we will use the washable ones in the future. |
I do not wash my pads with any other clothes in the same wash. I wash them alone. The pish pads I use come in different sizes. I have enough that I can have clean pads down while I am washing the dirty ones. I have an area that is about 2' x 4' that is tucker's potty area. |

Pooch pads PetEdge: Pooch Pads I soak it in water w/1tbs/ea detergent & bleach & let it air dry in the sun. It doesn't smell, lasts a long time, save $ in the long run & it can also be machine washed. There's different kinds, I've tried clean go brand & didn't like them, the pee stained. |

Louie will only go once on a pad: Mr. Clean! We cut them in half and buy the really big boxes. He also has to have a different pad somewhere else in the room to go poop on.....cannot poop and pee on same pad. Guess Louie has me trained as well. At least he is not peeing on carpet or rugs. Eventually we want to get him to go outside. |
Going to the boys room Mr. Darcy is quite snarky about his pee pee pad use. I turn the pad holder around in the corner so he'll stand on the "new cleaner edge." I change his 5/6 times a day and conclude that AT LEAST he's finally trained. ALSO, no trotting outside X times a day/night to wee wee. NOW.....the leg lifting is another story for Mr. macho dog. THEN he sometimes misses. I put his pee pee tray on a larger piece of clear lexan in the corner. Easier than cleaning the carpet constantly. I couldn't live without our Spot Bot. :) Mr. Darcy & mum |
I tell ya, Maximus peed once or twice on his, and then started chewing them to pieces. I finally got washables. I actually bought waterproof changing table pads (in the baby section) and they have been working great for us! |

Are these pee pads just as good as the ones bought in places like Wal-mart and Petsmart? |
I just posted this on another thread but we use washables and so far it's been great! Mine are actually the pads I used for my granny on her bed, chair, etc so she wouldn't "leak" on anything. They are hugely absorbent and Curlys feet aren't wet anymore after she's done circling for a spot and no more pee foot prints on the floors after she's done peeing. I'm not sure what these are called, I bought them years ago but the backs are vinyl and the tops are cotton. They were about 30x30 inches so I cut them in half and sewed up the edges. I thought I'd want more so I ordered some on Ebay but they were no where near as good as the ones i had already. Anyone want them? lol |
Bree uses her pad at least three times. If she does decide to use it a fourth time, its usually on the corner of the pad and half way on the floor. |
