Just another potty training vent! OMG!!! Just when I think I am getting somewhere...... I'm sure this dog holds her pee outside till she can get in and go on the nice squishy carpet! We spent more time outside today than in and she STILL managed to have one pee and one poo in the house! Hubby's patience is wearing thin and he wants to rub her nose in it. "it worked with all MY dogs" is his answer. I asked him if he ever saw me rubbing our daughters nose in her training pants when she was a baby and he just grufaws and walks away. I've trained three fantastic dogs before so she's not my first, I know all the tricks of the trade but something about my Mia, its almost defiant.... know what I mean? Sooooooooooo frustrated. Well, here's hoping tommorrow is a better day! Fingers crossed for me! |
Hang in there! My yorkie just peed indoors after going TWO WEEKS without an accident. I'm still reeling. Have you ever had yorkies before? They are supposed to be one of the hardest dogs to house train. My is living up to the reputation. Please don't let your husband rub her nose in it, it won't help her learn. Poop doesn't smell bad to them the way it does to us, but I doubt they like having it up their nose. |
Awwww, I am so sorry! You can't give up, you have to hang in there. I wish I had a suggestion for you, but I am only indoor training. We didn't feel like we could do the outside thing, it is so much easier to keep up with it indoors. Also, we don't have a fenced in yard and we live on several wooded acres with 2 big outside dogs. |
