Bladder Problem, Marking, or Urinating? We're still in the everlong process of potty training our Yorkie. He is very good about pottying on his puppy pad (#1 and #2) However, there are times where he pees about a dime to a quarter size spot on the carpet. I know he can hold his bladder because when he goes on the puppy pad his spots are usually small pancake sizes. He does not lift his leg yet and still squats. Is this a sign of marking? a bladder problem? I'm really not sure. Any input would be appreciated! |
How old is he? It sounds like marking are you planning on having him neutered? |
Yes we plan on having him neutered, he is about 6 months |
Jackson lifted his leg for the first time today! Ahhh! It was outside nonetheless but I was like NO! lmao. As long as it stays outside, it's OK. He's 5 months and I am calling to schedule his neuter tomorrow or Tuesday. |
Haha thats ironic! We took Pilot out for a walk in the beautiful weather and he lifted his leg for the first time too! |
mine does the same My 12 week old boy does the same. Is he too young to be marking? He doesn't lift his leg yet. He urinates sometimes 5 times in one hour. He will leave 2 pancake size on the pee pad and sometimes little quarter size spots on my carpet. Any suggestions on what may be wrong? |
You should just bring it to the vet. My kiwi had the same problem two months ago, and the vet suspected her of having bladder infection. |
