Starting training?? Just wanted to share that my little cutie Roxy is now 12 weeks old and has just started to sit when I tell her (I'm so proud of her:)) She's so hyper most of the time that this is a big development and this morning she was sitting without me telling her cos she wanted a treat:D |
Congrats! They are little smart sponges aren't they! They learn very fast to sit for treats! |
Congrats! Samson learned "sit" pretty quickly too. Now we have to work on "come". He has met the neighbor's 2 labs through the wooden fence. They bark and bark at each other constantly. Samson thinks he's a Rotwieller, he doesn't back down! When I say, "Samson come" he just keeps on barking. Any suggestions on how to effectively teach the "come" command? |
It's amazing sometimes how quick they learn My two leaned to sit and stay in one session:D It helps when they just LOVE their treats more than anything on this earth INCENTIVE ;) It was funny yesterday .... My Zach was in one of his barking jags when his brother has a toy that he wants Which is ANY toy his brother has and I Yelled NO BARK! and he stopped looked at me and started barking again I said it again and got up this time and he paused a little longer next time I said EP! and stepped closer He looked at me looked at his brother and whimpered I said NO BARK and he walked away  This does work after all |
Ahh they really are such smart little pups, I'm really looking forward to all the little things I'm going to teach her over the next few months. Let's just hope everything is as easy as this was  |
Aw! I just taught Baxter a couple weeks ago to sit, and he usually does it without me saying it when I have a treat. I JUST started to teach him yesterday how to stay, and he is doing an EXCELLENT job! He lies down with chin pressed on the floor, and follows me with his eyes! Soooo cute! He's learning though... and yes, they are SO smart!! |
