| mscat | 01-12-2009 08:56 AM | It is very frustrating at times to have a little puppy. As cute as they are, they are so much work. Very much like A human baby. I wante dyou to know that it does get easier though. my Suzi is 10 months old, and I still am finding areas in the house where she has chewed on. Very normal at this age though. Placing your little one in his pen does not seem too harsh to me. It gives you A break and A safe place for the puppy to go.
Give him safe chew toys and use distraction and treats to reward good behavior. Correct Humping behavior As soon as it occurs and do not allow him to chew on your clothes. Those little teeth of his are only going to get sharper, and soon enough he will be putting holes in your clothes. It is better to work with the behavior nOW then later.
He is still a very young puppy, so try and use positive behavior training. You want to have A good relationship with your puppy and want the puppy to trust you .
My Suzi is very sensitve at times, and will run away from me is she knows it is time to be brushed or bath time. They are very smart too. :aimeeyork |
