Buddy barking at Bella When Bella has a bone Buddy wants he will lay there and just bark at her while she ignores him. If he gets the bone, she will find something else to play with and then he wants that instead. The problem is the barking is driving me mad!! Other than this the only time Buddy barks is when someone comes over, and then he is fine after we answer the door. Bella never barks!! It seems to just be a way for him to get her play that does not work. Usually I tell him no bark and tap his shoulder to try to distract him but it does not work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks |
This will be tough because this is part of dog language He is asking permission from a more dominant dog to have something The barking when someone comes in is also a sign that he is a little anxious You can train him with No Bark But it's going to take sometime and persistence Try to set up a situation that will get him to bark Say .... No Bark and when he stops Say Good Boy and treat him and everytime he barks again ..... Good Boy and a treat He'll get the message r |
