Bella loves to Chewwwwwww Bella is such a great doggy, only problems is she loves to chew on anything. We have to be soooo careful. Lexi is 4 (my skin kid) and she can't leave anything down or else Bella will get ahold of it and chew it We take the items away from her if she gets ahold a of something, tell her NO and give her one of her toys to chew on. What else can we do. any suggestions?????? |
Angel chewed on everything too!!! Eventually she grew out of it, so I recommend lots of patience (and continue to keep things picked up)!!!! |
She's a puppy and she's teething so chewing on things right now is a comfort for her I found that my two just love these raw hide sticks they have in all pet stores they'll sit for 15 mins at a time chewing on it |
Work on the "leave it" command - it's awesome! Clicker Training Lessons - Leave It It will pass though. Loki used to chew on everything (he would destroy plush toys) and I would always take them away when he started to chew too much (I also taught him "easy") and he kind of grew out of it. He still loves his bully sticks! |
Erin's right .... there's no time too early to start the "leave it" training I use "No Thank you" for my boys They are very good at stopping whatever it is that they are doing ... we need the repetition tho because they keep going back after they think I forgot  |
Great ideas. Thanks so much. oh by the way...Barbies are her favorite. lol She will sit and wait for Lexi to put it down for a second and boom, she's right there. She will get it and take off under the couch where we can't get her. |

yeah all the barbies in my house have band-aid hands and feet lol |
Mine are in the mind set ..... If it touches the floor it needs to go in the mouth and be chewed on If I see them chewing without seeing what it is that they are chewing on a finger sweep is always necessary |
