Walking poop Simon, my one year old pup, always walks when he poops. I wouldn't care if he went in a circle but he walks out of his litter box and pee pad. Any suggestions on how to keep him from either not walking out or of walking in a circle? |
I know I'm not going to be a bit of help! :D I think you're asking them to do something that doesn't come naturally. |
My dog does it too. She would poop, walk a couple of feet, poop again and so on. I've have followed her over 40 feet picking up a trail of poop before. I think it's natural for some dog to do it. Maybe you can watch him and as soon as he walks out put him back in. |
I agree, some dogs, have to "walk it off" naturally. The best you can hope for is that he will do it right outside the litter box, or the pee pad. Therefore, you will have to line the surrounding area with newpaper. And while you cannot insist it be done in the box, you can insist it be done right outside the box, that should be enough area to work with. |

I have done this too! lol.. it's really funny picking up a trail or poopie pebbles. I don't ever say anything to them, because I don't want them to think i'm scolding them for poo'ing. cause they are poo'ing on the pad.. at first. |
Wheewww...I thought only Silk did the walking poop thing. Thank goodness she goes potty outside. :p |
