puppy pad atractant I thought I read or heard somewhere about something you can spray on a puppy pad that aracts them to potty on the pad? With Christmas coming we will probably be spending the weekend after Christmas at a family members house and Callie is potty trained at home with her doggy door but no doggy door where we are going. So I was hopping there was something I could spray on a puppy pad to attract her to the pad when she has to go so I'm not worried shes going to pee on the floor and taking her outside ever five minutes. Has anyone ever heard of this spray? |
I used the spray when Pasquale was a puppy(one is made by Simple Solutions)....didnt seem to work. He eventually did get pee pee pad trained...but no thanks to the spray. Anyways....if he goes pee pee outside....i dont think he'll know to go on a pee pee pad in someone else's house. Unless he's trained to do both??? What i always do when I bring Pasquale to someone elses house is i put a Belly Band on him...so just in case he does mistakeningly go...he wont ruin their house. Then i make sure i bring him outside every couple of hours or so. |

We tried the pads when she was a puppy but she would shread them and pull them around the house even if we taped them down so we gave up and eventualy got a doggy door and it works great at home. |
I've never used any spray or anything else on my pee pads. The best way to do it, is when they pee on the floor, take a papertowel, wipe up the pee with it, and then put the pee off the pp towel on the pee pad, I had my shih tzu trained in the first day by doing that, and the other ones have actually learned prety quickly too(just not as quick as my shih tzu).. |

I think the spray is called wee-wee spray, but I'm not sure. If you are interested in the exact name, let me know and I'll see if I can hunt down the bottle. :) |
I think some of the ones at Walmart have the attractant scent in them. |
