Attacking the puppy pads. So we were training Walker to go outside and he was doing awesome. Never poops in the house, and always pees in the same spot inside when we have an "accident" So I started putting puppy pads on his inside pee spot to save myself some work. One problem. He likes to try and kill them. Any ideas on how to stop him? If all else fails we'll just take them away again and go back to straight outside pottying. Thanks! |
I did the same thing and mine started using the pad. I know there is a pad holder that you can get at places like petsmart |
He does use it. Rather consistantly actually. lol. Just in the other 23 and 1/2 hours he's running around like a maniac and not peeing he likes to kill it. I've thought about the holder. Maybe I'll think a little harder. :) |
Pad Killer Hi. i'm brand new to the group as of today, but wanted to let you know that my little ten week old girl, Sookie started out attacking the piddle pads too. I decided masking tape was cheaper than buying one of the pad holders and as long as the tape is pressed down securely she doesn't "kill" the pad. --- SherylSews |
First Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Second thanks for the advice. May try that since i have masking tape on hand. If i did buy the holder it'd be a least a week before it got shipped to Germany anyway. and by then there'd be puppy pad parts all over. |
I have the same problem with Buddy who is 16 weeks, when I go back to work he distroys one of the pee pads and its not always one in a certain area, in England I have not heard of the holders and I cannot tape the carpet, hopefully he will stop |
Oh....the puppy days and confetti pee pads You guys gave me a chuckle as I haven't had to experience this since about 3 years ago :p I do remember coming home from work and finding my two little 'angels' baby-gated in their room and their 4 pee pads were shredded to confetti, pee and poop all over the floor - hahahahahahaha Ok, so I bought the washable pee pads and put an end to the pee pad party they were obviously having when I was not at home ;) |
yea i haven't found the holders in Germany yet either. maybe they're not a real European thing? I'm glad other people find it amusing:) haha. I've discovered that he only does it when tired sooooo...he just gets kenneled a little earlier each night:rolleyes: |
