To teach come...each and every time she responds...give her a treat. Only reward her when she comes. Eventually you will not need the treats. For barking...you could use the comman quiet...when she responds...reward her. She doesn't need an entire treat for a reward. A bite is fine...or a cheerio. You're way over feeding her. The serving portion will be located on the side of the bag. Mine are fed 1/3 cup the ENTIRE day. I'd also eliminate the yogurt. None of mine have ever eaten puppy formulas...they all ate adult formula. |
You are definately over feeding, I feed 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup in the evening with cherrios as a snack midday. I see no need for the yogurt. Your pup should start to slim down once you get the food portion under control, walks will help also. Good luck. |
Weight 6-11 Weeks 3-4 Months 5-7 Months 8-12 Months (lbs) (cups/day) (cups/day) (cups/day) (cups/day) 1------1/2-----1/3------1/4-------1/4 3------1-------3/4------1/2-------1/4 5------1 1/4---1 1/4----3/4-------1/3 10-----2-------2--------1 1/4-----2/3 15-----2 2/3---2 1/2----1 2/3-----3/4 20-----3 1/4---3--------2---------1 These guideline amounts are a starting point and your pet may need more food depending on age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. This represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your pet per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. |
Those portions look like large breed puppy formula. Are you certain this isn't what you've purchased? |
I free feed all of mine, and it takes three of them, 3 days to go through a bowl of food. I bet my yorkie doesn't even eat 1/2 cup a day, she picks at it though out the day. I don't know if you posted it, but, what kind of food is she on? And, do you have pictures..You're telling us a yorkie that to be standard size and weigh no more than 7 lbs full grown, is already 10 lbs at 4 mos. this just doesn't add up. My yorkie that is almost 6 years is bigger, she's 13 1/2 lbs. but, at 4 mos. she was only around 3-4 lbs. there are throw backs, but, I've never in my life heard of one weighing 10 lbs at 4 mos already. Do you have pictures of her you can post? Okay, sorry, I see eukanuba. Now, I feed mine eukanuba naturally wild, and, for a 10 lb dog, it says a cup a day |
