the pup and stairs. Hello! I've posted a couple other questions but I have a new one:) and since you guys are so helpful I'll bother you all with it. Walker is 9 weeks old. We live in a 3 story walk up. How old should he be before he starts walking the stairs or should I just carry him forever? haha. I just don't want him to get hurt. Thanks! |
I remember mine being about 3 mos before they could go up the stairs |
Our dog wasn't teeny tiny, and he was able to go up and down at 15 weeks or so. Just supervise him the first few times . . . I remember Buster when he first learned how to get up, but got confused trying to come back down the stairs and had a tumble down one step. Also, hard surfaced floors and stairs will make things more difficult. They're slick, they're tougher to negotiate and pose more risk for injury. |
