6 yr has decided he is not housebroken I have a 6 year old yorkie. I rescued him when he was 2. He lived outside the first two years of his life and has been an inside baby since I've had him. He has done very good in the house....there would be an occasional accident but nothing major. I go home during the day to let him out. Over the last few weeks he has decided that he needs to urinate in the house when I'm not there. I started keeping him in the bathroom and he did great for 2 weeks, no accidents. Then started back urinating again. Does anyone have any suggestions. He is fine when I'm home and at night...it is just during the day when I'm gone that he is having the problem. |
Is he neutered? Could he be marking? Has he been drinking more water lately? Whenever a housetrained dog starts having accidents you should suspect a medical problem, uti, bladder stones, etc. Lady started having potty accidents at age 6.5 and it turned out she was diabetic. Start with a good check up by your vet with bloodwork. |

Then start right back at the beginning and house train him again. Mine started having peeing in the house it turned out to be a bad valve. JL |
oh no i hope things are ok with your baby.my baby is 1 next month and he's suddenly pooping over night.he will not go in his crate but if he sits around the house he will pee.i'm so confused but i am definitely going to get him neutered to see if that help with training. just know your not alone.goodluck!!!!!! |
