Biting!? I can not get Bentley to stop biting! He always wants to bite my hand, my ankles, my arm, face..whatever he can get a hold of! I know he is teething, but how can I get him to stop chewing on me? |
Biting? I've had a couple of reminders, since joining, that I was deafeningly silent! It was due to me and Meryl, my wife, battling with Amber biting us too. I was embarrassed by this behavior, thinking we were doing something wrong. It starts in the morning with her loving us and wanting to lick us but, as the day wears on, she needs to bite - the furniture, carpets, her toys and us. I'm now managing to control her slightly with an empty Altoids peppermints tin containing some loose cents that I've covered with duct tape. When I rattle this at her she backs off. Two or three weeks back it had got so bad that there was aggressive growling accompanying her biting in the late afternoons but this, thankfully, has died down since I've introduced the rattling tin. I shake it at her and she backs off. The first time she met the tin I threw it (gently) at her to frighten her. Hope this will help you! (We are still madly in love with her!).:aimeeyork Myke Ashley-Cooper in mosquito-ridden Tallahassee |
Biting I too have a problem with 4 mo. old Mickey bitting/attacking our feet. We have tried a number of things, diverson, scolding, and water bottle filled with water. Since last night we have tried shaking pennies in a plastic bottle. We are hopeful this will work (as do our toes). |
Biting The tin I'm using is an Altoids tin wrapped in duct tape. Hope that's of help.:animal36 |

Bully stick There is a new toy sadly can not remeber its name but you wet it freeze it and let them chew helps with the pain. Give nylabones the edible kind. When he bites trade... or stand up and wal away.. you want to play with me no teeth on me is allowed. I tend to teach bite control rather then no bite. JL |
OMG! Bowie is a pirahna, Ive even made a thread about this. He is always biting and it hurts!!! |
