Help! Pee problem Hi guys, I have a 20 month old Male Yorkie called Tiny. I am having real trouble with his toilet training. Recently we moved from a flat, where he had a pee pee pad, to a house. I took care to train him where to pee etc and he seemed to get it. Sometimes he would have the odd little accident but now he seems to have regressed!! What's more baffling is he does it in front of you! I don't shout at him, I tell him no in a firm voice and go to put him in timeout but he does it himself. He goes and sits by himself looking very ashamed! When he does go to the toilet in the garden I praise him lots. What am I doing wrong?? Please help me!! :( |
Every hour on the hour Hi, I am a firm believer in consistency. Take him out every hour on the hour when you are at home, this will not give him a chance to pee inside. Make sure he pees and then do it all over again. I have a 5mth old and we did this from the beginning. I hope that helps. Aneta |
another suggestion that may help; remove all area rugs. To a dog, an area rug looks like a big pee pad so they think it is ok. |
