paper training Hi guys, new to this forum and yorkies. Just got my first puppy dog three weeks ago and it has been so much work. Bought him with a inguinal hernia surgery already done more like saved him he looked like he was been ignored. After two days ends up with very bad kennel cough, not eating, losing weight, having to force feed and then finally ends up being admitted for two days. And now a ear infection to top it all, but thats a different story. I need help because my little guy was using the wee-wee pad to pee and poop but for the past few days has stopped pooping on it and start going on the floor. He is also playing and I think once or twice has licked/eaten it. I got him the deter pills today and hopefully those will work but could someone explain how to get him to go on the pad again. Thanks. I am using the spray for the pad. Thanks. Also right now we are confining him mostly to a small hallway of 5 feet by 2 feet. Is their a certain amount of space to place his food and water bowl from his wee-wee pad. Space is cramped and they are about a foot apart for now till he is house broken then we can let him walk around. |
Well he shouldn't have the house without supervision untill he is train, I use a x-pen with my girls first, food, water, toys, bed cover with pads then little by little I remove the pads until one, when I took them out the x-pen I will ck for fresh spot in the pads, if none I will tell them go potty then if they do they get out until I think is time for them to go again back to the x-pen or patio whatever you want, just take time, love praise and dedication. You sound like a wonderful person, for taking care your fur-baby that well so glad you got that hernia problem fixed:thumbup: |
